<div>Erik is a hardworking father of three young children who has spent nearly 18 years building a life, raising and supporting his family, and contributing to his community.

<div>Recently, while on his way to work, Erik was detained by immigration authorities and separated from his loved ones (May 26th). During the incident, the ICE agent who arrested him was being overly aggressive and Erik suffered a fractured hand and endured days of pain before receiving proper medical care. A doctor at the detention center attempted to claim that Erik’s fracture was an old injury, despite the fact that it occurred during the incident that led to his detention. He is detained at the Northlake Detention Center.

<div>Less than two years ago, Erik faced another major challenge when he was diagnosed with a dangerous tumor behind his eye. Despite the fear, treatment, and recovery, he remained focused on his family and continued working hard to provide for his children.

<div>To those who know him, Erik is a kind, caring, and hardworking person a devoted father, brother, son, and friend. His absence has left a tremendous void in the lives of those who love him. Despite everything he has been through, he has continued working hard, supporting his children, and helping those around him whenever he could. Those who know Erik know that he is much more than the circumstances he is facing today. He is a caring father, a good friend and a person with a good heart. We are asking for support for someone who has spent years giving his best to his family. Now, he needs others to stand beside him as he faces one of the toughest battles of his life.
