Erik Howard's Tumor Fight

My name is Mark Howard. My brother, Erik Howard, has been in an ongoing battle with a brain tumor since High School. He has undergone two separate brain surgeries and countless hours of rehab. After his last surgery in 2011 we were all hoping that would be the end of it, yet after a routine check-up this year, the doctors told him that the tumor had returned.
Rather than having a third surgery, the doctors opted for a different approach, concentrated radiation therapy. The radiation will begin next week(every day, Mon-Fri) and will continue through the month of October.
Needless to say, medical bills have already begun to pile up. Erik's insurance will cover some of the expenses but his out of pocket costs will easily exceed ten thousand. In addition to medical debt, Erik and his wife Katie-Jean will also have to spend quite a lot on gas as daily trips to Philadelphia will not be cheap. This round trip will take roughly two and a half to three hours every day depending on traffic.
Currently, Erik is serving as a minister at Glasstown church in Millville, NJ. Erik has always felt called to ministry and followed God's call on his life over a decade ago to shepherd God's people and show the love of Christ to everyone he meets.
Erik and his wife Katie-Jean are expecting their first child early this December which, though providing them with springs of joy, has also added to their stress level as this tumor breeds uncertainty. As with everything else in their life, Erik and Katie-Jean want to meet this unexpected difficulty with fervent prayer and trust in the Lord.
Now, here's where we come in; I believe that we as his family and friends have a fantastic opportunity to come alongside and support Erik and his family, both through prayer and much needed financial support.
