Eric's Steroid Therapy Wrongful Death

  Nim has been in bed pretty much 24-7 for the last 5 months and didn't retire last December, he had to quit because he could no longer work like this. He is in great pain, and of course, we lost our health insurance with it. He is a product of big pharma, and a system of dermatologists who don't care, not even the 4-5 dermatologists we have seen, who are in denial. The ER doc we had to go to and the pharmacist told us what it was, and the ER doc at Sacred Heart told us it was the worst case he had seen in 10 years of Topical Steroid Withdrawal or TSW and RSS, Red Skin Syndrome. He is getting extremely depressed and he could really use some encouragement. You cannot visit because frankly, it's gruesome. We have been trying everything known to man to cure or relieve this. The fact is, this may take 3 years for a complete withdrawal of their skin "meds". I am fighting to not lose everything we own, but, his mental state is of grave concern. No lawyer will touch us, because the settlement will not be as much as a wrongful death one and they say there is no doctor in town that will testify against another one in town, so they get away with it.  This is not fatal, but, he took steroid shots for almost a year and topical cortisones almost 7 years, so they estimate 1/3 of that amount of time to heal. Last Summer, the dermatologist insisted it was a very bad case of eczema...still....and wanted to prescribe MORE steroids.  We have now run out of the savings we had. Anyone that knows my husband KNOWS how hard he worked for his whole life.  14 hour days were the norm at his last job. Eric has been a professional musician all his life and his last band was Mumbo Jumbo with which he put out a CD with.  The band is also re-issuing this release as a fundraiser for Eric as well.  This cd will be for sale on his Facebook page as well as other outlets.
