Eric's Hurricane Rescue Mission

US Army Ranger Veterans Eric Carlson, from Lemont Illinois, Mike Luna, from Iowa, and Vince Lester, from Ohio, have travelled from the midwest to Texas to assist in search-and-rescue missions for the people and pets affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Eric is current training coordinator and Treasurer for 1pet1vet Inc. NFP, an Illinois 501c3 charitable organization that trains Service Dogs for Veterans located in Manteno, Illinois. I am the training director for 1pet1vet. Eric and I were feeling helpless and frustrated in response to the disaster unfolding due to Hurricane Harvey. Eric could not just watch rescue efforts unfolding on the news. Too many people needed help, and with his specialized training as a former US Army Ranger, Eric knew he could help. He contacted his Ranger veteran friends, Mike and Vince, and they left immediately to meet up in Texas. I have remained behind to help coordinate this fund raising effort, in hopes they will be able to do greater good if they can provide needed supplies directly to flood affected sufferers. Eric will have direct access to your donations, and as Treasurer for a not-for-profit organization, will keep receipts and exact records of how your donation is used to help others.
Your donated funds will be used to purchase water, blankets, and essentials to be distributed to the impacted people and pets that Eric, Mike, and Vince assist. They will also be used to purchase gas for the boat and truck they are using to perform rescue assistance, and meals for the three volunteers while doing rescue work in Texas. Any additional funds will be used to transport dogs to local shelters and, if possible, provide food to those shelters for all of the displaced pets they are caring for. All receipts will be kept, and a spread sheet documenting how the funds were spent will be available through me, Peggy Moran. At the end of Eric, Mike, and Vince's rescue mission in Texas, we will donate any remaining funds to registered Texas nonprofit animal rescue organizations, so every cent you donate goes to this worthy cause
