Erick Angeles Thomas Fire

Hello- my name is Tracy Perez and I am the Regional Manager of United Staffing Associates (USA) in Ventura County. On behalf of USA I have set up this Go Fund Me page to help our employee, Erick Angeles and his wife Maribel who are victims of the devastating Thomas Fire. On Monday December 6, 2017 their mobile home in Wheeler Canyon in Santa Paula was completely destroyed. On that night Erick was driving Maribel to Oxnard College so she could attend her evening class, they share one car. On the way there they got the news that their neighborhood was going up in flames. They immediately raced back but it was too late, Erick and Maribel lost everything . They are thankful to be safe and know that material things can be replaced however Maribel is heartbroken she left the Laptop she used for school behind. They are temporarily staying with family in Oxnard until they can save enough money to find an apartment in Santa Paula near Erick's job. It should be shared that Erick did not miss a day at work, he says at this point he can't afford not to. At United Staffing we care deeply about our employees and are dedicated to helping in times of need. Our goal is to help raise $5000 so Erick and Maribel can secure housing which is the first step in rebuilding their lives. Our Ventura County USA Branches have already collected $750 in cash which we presented to Erick today. He was humbled and extremely grateful. We also let him know that we have a brand new Laptop for Maribel as we want her to be able to continue her studies. What is most needed at this time is additional funds for Erick and Maribel to secure housing back in Santa Paula close to Erick's job. With one car, he'd rather walk to work so Maribel can drive to school. We are asking our family and friends to please consider helping this young couple get back on their feet. No one can prepare you for the devastating loss they have experienced, we only hope this small gesture will be what they need. Thank you.
