Ericas auto accident medical bills

Just before Christmas on 12/21/2020 Erica was involved in a head on collision. The at fault driver was driving east in the westbound lanes of travel. It was dark and by the time Erica noticed it was too late to react. These wrong way crashes and especially in a 55 mph zone normally don’t end well. We thank God for being with her and the Hyundai for protecting her well with air bags. She did not get out unscathed and is very beat up, bruised and her ribs cause her tremendous pain. Erica is a marathon runner, distance runner and she was in superb physical shape, she is now unable to run due to injuries and very painful ribs. If your a distance runner you know you have to train/run daily and stay conditioned. She also missed a very important marathon in Indianapolis where she would receive the second half of her medal. The at fault driver was suppose to have insurance but gave the police an expired insurance card that was invalid. I have spent hours on the phone trying to contact the other drivers insurance company with no success. We can’t even get in touch with them to give her a rental car for transportation. So Erica is a single mother of 3 beautiful children, during Christmas and New Year and has no transportation since December 21st. She was taken to Miami Valley Hospital and will receive those medical bills soon. The other issue is the car is totaled and if she has to claim this on her own company she will have to pay  $1000 deductible which we cannot afford, that is why we can’t rent her a car! That’s $40 per day. We are sure she will lose money on the vehicle also when they total it out. Erica works two jobs just to make ends meet for herself and her children. She like a lot of single moms does not have the money to replace her vehicle, pay all the medical bills and still take care of her children. So as you can imagine when these bills start coming for her ER visit she will not be financially able to pay them. We have no idea how she will ever be able to replace her car, pay her expenses, pay her medical bills and pay her regular bills, rent and still take care of her children let alone transportation. She is stressed and worries as everyone can imagine, but she still puts her faith squarely with God for guidance and trusts in the long run that he will meet her needs as well as those for her children. Sorry for this long post but I wanted to frame this story for everyone. I am her father and I too have lost one of my jobs due to COVID so I am unable to help her financially.
