Erica's Cancer Fund

Update: A month has passed and, in this time, Erica's tentative diagnosis has changed. Her doctors at Hopkins now think it is Gastrinoma, a relatively rare form of Neuro-Endorcrine Tumors in the pancreas or duodenum. However, they are still unsure of the locations of the primary tumor and some of the secondary ones. As a result, it is clear that her recovery will be much longer and more intensive than previously expected. In addition, Erica would like to seek the advice of a specialist in Colorado to gain a clearer picture of her overall diagnosis before finalizing plans for surgery. Since her diagnosis remains unclear, she cannot yet apply for diability services to help with her daily expenses. As a result, she is asking for help for her bills and trip to Colorado to get a second opinion. Thank you to all who have already donated, shared, or sent kind thoughts and words. Erica Bailey was recently diagnosed with cancer in her pancreas, spine, and lympnodes. Well known in Shepherdstown and abound for her vivacious smile and strong spirit, she has always been quick to help another whenever the situation has warranted it. She even saved a man from a burning bus! Now is her time of need. Show your support by donating what you can. These contributions will go towards paying her rent and utilities, as well as for her doctor visits and the gas to get there. As we do not yet know the complete financial impact of her full treatment, we plan to set up another fundraiser to help with these costs in the future. Every little bit helps!
