Eric Snider's Transplant

Donation protected
A few years ago, my cousin, Eric Snider, after battling heart issues for years had emergency surgery to place an LVAD device in his body. A left ventricular assist device (LVAD) is a pump that is used for patients who have reached end-stage heart failure. This is a life-saving therapy for patients awaiting a heart transplant. Patients use the LVAD until a heart becomes available.

In some cases, the LVAD is able to restore the failing heart, eliminating the need for a transplant. However, in Eric's case a transplant is a necessity. He is near the top of the list.   Currently on a fixed income, he has a great deal of needs that will increase with the transplant. The care and medicines will allow him to function and have the strength to keep fighting and avoid rejection of the new organ.  The hospital has advised that he will need to show in excess of a year’s worth of post-surgery funds prior to the procedure.

Help us reach our goal of $7,500. This will help to receive treatment and supplies necessary for care after the surgery. I ask that anyone who knows him, who knows me, or is moved to help a fellow human being consider donating now. Every penny helps! Thanks.
