Willmar Teen and his family in need of Community Support
Eric Meza, a soon to be senior at Willmar High School recently found out he needs extensive medical care for a spine and brain condition. Eric is an avid soccer player and has had problems with his legs and has been unable to run or play soccer. After several medical appointments it was discovered the problems are neurologically related and he will need intense testing and medical procedures. He was admitted to the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis on July 19th.
Eric is on the soccer team at WHS, attends St. Mary’s church and works at Officemax. Financial contributions are being sought to help defer the cost of medical related expenses and to help cover the loss of income.
What makes the situation even more challenging is Eric’s mom, Veronica, has also experienced serious health problems recently. She also will be taking more medical test at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester the week of the July 23rd. Eric’s younger siblings, Alan, 12 and Evelyn, 10, are also part of this special family and need support while their mom and older brother are dealing with these life changing conditions.
Any contribution is greatly appreciated. Hopefully with your support, good medical care and rehabilitation, Eric will be able to fully participate in his senior year at Willmar High School. God willing, the best possible outcome is he will be able to run and play soccer with his Cardinal Soccer teammates this fall.
