Our good friend Eric was diagnosed this past May with a malignant brain tumor. After surgery, pathology revealed a very agressive form of brain cancer called glioblastoma multiforme. This diagnosis is currently labeled "incurable" and "terminal." The goal of treatment is to extend life expectancy while hoping for a cure to be found. Life expectancy is around 2 years in most cases. The family hopes in a God who does miracles and asks for prayers in union with theirs for a healing that will defy statistics and doctor's expectations.

Eric is an amazing example of a man who has overcome many obstacles and has given his life to serving God as a husband and a father and a missionary. He had been working diligently over the past six years completing his bachelors degree and is now pursuing a masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. His dream has been to support his family and contribute to the needs of the world through this field. Despite his health, he is pushing forward with online courses in order to, God-willing, complete his degree this December.

Going to college full-time and working to support his family has been an amazing undertaking. His diagnosis has left him unable to continue in his work as a Graduate Assistant in McNeese's Autism program. His wife, who has labored until this point as a full time mother, homeschooling their 4 children seeks to stabilize and transition the family. This will likely include a move as she looks to take over the role as "bread winner" and consequently enroll the children in school. The combination of these circumstances obviously puts major financial stress on their family. Let us show God’s love to a man and his precious wife Sarah who have devoted themselves to living a radical Gospel life.

They have asked me to extend their deepest thanks to all those who have contributed to them financially and in so many other ways. Your generosity has been a blessing beyond words and truly essential in helping them navigate this crisis. They are keenly aware that this story is yours as much as it is theirs. They ask for your continued fervent prayers for God's will to be done in this situation, for wisdom in their decision making, for peace for the children, and for sincere love of one another as they seek to live their days intentionally.

God bless and reward you all!
