(Per the request of GoFundMe, I am including the following in order for this request to qualify for specific benefits related to Hurricane Harvey victims. GoFundMe is working with the Direct Impact Fund, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to quickly deliver tax-deductible donations to verified campaigns that benefit victims)

2. I am from Austin, Tx.
3. My brother and his wife, Eric and Penny Michalk, need our help.
4. Eric and Penny's home was flood like so many during the flooding caused by Harvey. We are so thankful for God's protection of their health and safety, but they've experienced tremendous loss and damage to their home. They had nearly 3 feet of water inside which caused a total loss to their furniture, appliances and most of their possessions. Their home is currently being gutted to remove the sheetrock and fixtures that were damaged. Although they have insurance, it helps very little outside of the home repairs. They need to replace their furniture, mattresses and applicances. They will be displaced and in need of shelter, food, clothes and basic needs for months as the repairs are made. Eric and Penny were not prepared financially for such a loss as I know most of us would not be. Please consider and pray about what you can give too assist them with what will be a long and expensive road to getting back home. More than anything else they need your prayers for continued protection and health. As soon as the funds are released I will be tranferring the money directly into Eric and Penny's checking account.
