Eradicate hunger and fight Corona virus in Kenya

Covid - 19 Pandemic has hit the world hard,  turning all of our lives upside down and inside out, the pandemic has changed most of our lives as we know it.

I was born and raised in an urban slum called Kangemi, there is a population of about 300,000 people, majority who are very poor and live in very tough conditions.

I grew up very poor and facing so many of the issues which most of the people in my community are facing everyday. I was one of five kids raised by a single mother after I lost my father. I know too well what it feels to live survive with one meal a day, not having running water or electricity but my mom did the best she could I her situation. I was lucky enough to get out of this environment, conquering many obstacles but a lot of people will never get the opportunity to get out of it unfortunately. I have been blessed to work in some of the most beautiful camps and lodges which are located in some of the most amazing nature reserves and parks. I have been lucky to meet and change many peoples lives through safari and making many dreams come true which has been a great privilege and honor for me. In turn all the people I have met on safari have also changed me just as much, my experiences with guests from all over the world in the last thirteen years have changed me. It has changed way I see the world, the way I think, the way I interact and treat other people. I have definitely become a much better person.

During this Pandemic I I have been involved in trying to help my community the best way I can, I have started with providing water stations with soap in designated area where people can wash their hands which is helping in fighting this Covid 19 pandemic. I also try and educate the locals esp the children on the importance of hand washing in fighting this deadly virus.
While I was doing this, I experienced even a bigger problem with hunger and malnutrition and some women and children asked why provide masks and not food because they are hungry. I made a decision there and then that I will skip my lunches so as I could provide them with some food baskets. I have been doing this and will continue to do it with your help as we fight this pandemic.

Because this is very close to my heart and personal when I see people suffering the way they are I feel obliged to do whatever I can to do my part in helping fight this pandemic. I am rising to the occasion this is why I am humbly asking everyone to help me to help the community by contributing however much you can. I want to provide more water stations which are very much needed. This will make a huge difference in the community, this is very important because I understand that until everyone is safe many of us will not be. It will mean the world if I we can all make a difference and make the world a better place step by step.

Asante sana!
