Save the Western Ground Parrot from extinction

Extinction is one of the saddest events that can happen in nature and certainly one we can help avoid. The Western Ground Parrot is one of the rarest parrots in Australia, but its very existence is threatened, its habitat has been shrinking for years due to land clearing, bushfires (10 per cent of its remaining small habitat burnt in the most recent fire) and European introduced predators have made the situation worse. It’s estimated that less than 150 parrots are left in the wild so essentially the Western Ground Parrot is on the verge of extinction.
I’m appealing to your sense of community with our natural wildlife, conservation and humanity to save the Western Ground Parrot. The Friends of the Western Ground Parrot, a non-for-profit organisation based in Western Australia whose only mission is to save this beautiful and unique bird doesn’t have enough resources to properly continue their mission, the program that supports their efforts is underfunded and the necessary resources to try to save the parrot are becoming scarce. We can’t allow the extinction of species if we know we can help; extinction is forever, please help to save the Western Ground Parrot, with less than 150 parrots left in the wild, the Western Ground Parrot is one of World's rarest parrots too, don’t let it go and be one more causality of an extinction that could be avoided. I’m not a member of the Friends of the Western Ground Parrot but I’m a member of this planet we call home, I’m just a concerned citizen who believes we can help nature, I want future generations to enjoy wildlife, care for it and understand that any loss in nature is our loss as well, in the end this is our home, the only one we have. The Friends of the Western Ground Parrot have kindly given me permission to raise funds on their behalf. If you can contribute to this noble cause, we deeply thank you.
We are not asking for much, skip one morning coffee or that weekly sweet and donate it please, Nature has given us so much, what if we give a little back?
