We are the Morning March of Seattle, WA. This is a call to action! You say Black Lives Matter, so PROVE IT!! We march for what is known as "Equitable Justice"-- basic human rights! We advocate for the youth of redlined communities and people of Black and Indigenous backgrounds in order to strengthen the spirits of these communities and spread equity around the whole of King County. We are just getting started!
These funds will be used not only to propel this movement further in the direction of success and freedom, but also to provide the following resources to our protesters and community members:
-Food for those who are underprivileged
-Attorneys and lawyers for protesters arrested for practicing their constitutional rights as American citizens
-Car fuel and medical supplies for our care teams (first aid kits, adhesive tape, elastic wrap bandages, medical glue, gauze, eye wash, eye shields/pads, knee pads, box knives, and backpacks)
-Equipment for our security team (flashlights, walkie-talkies, defense equipment, notepads, pens, uniforms and belts)
-Supplies for our media team (camera lights, three-point lighting kits, portable digital auto recorder, headphones, light reflectors, etc.)
-Supplies for the organizing team/leaders (planners, unoccupied/vacant land and lots, computers, printers, general office supplies, shirts, Microsoft Office software, and other supplies that will ultimately aid to our victory).
-Other long-term resources (means for a Non-profit Organization (501(c)(3)), First-Aid, CPR, & BLS certification courses, deescalation and self-defense training, insurance, real-estate, artistic disciplines, et cetera.
