Equipment for Nafi

“It happened in 2005. It had just rained the night before the 28th December 2005, my friends and I decided to go for a swim thinking that the river was now deeper," he smiled and continued, "being the islanders we are, I decided to dive in not knowing what will happen. "CRAAACK" I literally heard my spine snap down to my back side, as I floated to the surface I had little feeling in my arms as I tried to swim towards the bank. Because it was on an outer island I was brought to the hospital by air.
As they pulled me out of the ambulance I saw my mum stand there and I was scared she said to me, "Did you thank God?" and I didnt realise that I havent thank him, but for what I thought to myself. Mum said "you're alive, you are breathing."
The months that followed I thanked God, and continue to do so I now have my own printing and designing business and work as an ICT officer at the Fiji Disabled Peoples Federation. Someone asked me if I would swap places with him (to walk again) I thought about it and my answer is, NO, I wouldnt because my challenges have become my strength."

Our brother Nafi from Suva, Fiji has several needs that we were recently made aware of for basic activities like eating and sleeping. These products are unavailable in Fiji but are easily accessed in Aus. Without them he is often sick and bedridden and unable to pursue his musical gifting. 

We are seeking to raise up to $5000 to cover the cost of the medical equipment required, listed below but not limited too:

2: Roho Sofflex 2 Mattress Overlay 
3: Pedals
4: Knee ROM Braces x2
5: Goodie-Strap
6: Slip on Writing Aid
7: Roho for Wheelchair
8: Theraband

Several of these products are essential to prevent pressure area wounds which can be lethal, which up until this point Nafi has been lucky enough to have overcome. However, there have been times they have managed to put him out of action for weeks/months.
