Equine Evacuation for Kinkade Fire
Donation protected
My friend, Brian Laughlin, has been taking his own time and funds to evacuate horses from the fires in California. I have watched him spend his own money and time to help rescue horses during the past three fire seasons. (He worked fires long before that, too.) Last year as he was helping others, his belongings and trailer burned to the ground, and yet he continued to help. He is finally getting back on his feet, and now there are more fires. I can't let this go without trying to help him help others. He is on his way to the Kincade Fire in Sonoma . . . there are fuel, food, and a cheap hotel room involved in the cost of helping. He does not get paid to do this, so it costs him his wages as well. I'm sure it will cost him a lot more, but $1000 immediately would help. He has a 6-horse trailer, fire emergency and evacuation experience, and a keen sense of focus when it comes to helping. This money will be spent to help defray his costs.
