Equal Ability Radio

Equal Ability Radio (known as Big EAR) is an internet based station dedicated to providing great radio shows for all, but with a focus towards listeners and presenters with disabilities, their families and carers.

We have been establishing our brand for over a year now and have already been accessed by listeners in over 145 countries. Each week we upload 8 hours of new programs featuring regular presenters, adding new team members as they join us. Some are able bodied some have a disability, all work independently producing programs from home and sending them in for transmission.

We believe the time has now come to go live and establish our purpose built studio, capable of accommodating wheelchair users and able bodied alike, using specially  selected equipment designed to suit all needs.

We also need space to produce programs, administrate the business, interview live guests and performers, produce drama and entertain sponsors and dignitaries.

As we are a "Not For Profit" company, all surplus funds will be used to develop a network of "Broadcast Clubs" in schools right around the World that will teach children a wide variety of skills from working as a team, to researching data and, most importantly, self confidence to find gainful employment after concluding their education. We aim to create many employment opportunities both here in the UK and around the World.

We have made provision with our broadcast equipment suppliers to provide special broadcast training experiences for schools and all the equipment they will need to net-cast their own radio programs. Such activity will eventually help generate revenue to support the Equal Ability network throughout the future. Our aim is to create and establish school radio stations around the world, working with us to broadcast their output internationally.

Our plans are well devised and exciting and will provide immense benefits to education in many poor or remote communities around the World.

What we need is to establish our studio and get started.

We have located a suitable rented space and identified the initial equipment.

We are ready to get started right now.

You can listen to our test broadcasts at: www.bigearradio.com

This next stage in our development will help millions of listeners benefit from entertaining, relevant and informative programming.

We will provide employment that will lead to even bigger opportunities in the general employment market.

We will focus on introducing radio to schools with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Your support will make an incredible project fly as we set out to provide a unifying platform for Equal Ability recognition for Disabled People right around the World.

Our team is excited and raring to go, we just need your support to make it all progress to the next stage - Live Broadcast.

Thank you so much for reading this - if you would like to help in other ways too, please get in touch.
