Recovery from Hurricane Irma

My name is Aaron Carman and I live in Atlanta, Georgia. I am creating a GoFundMe on behalf of my brother, Joshua Carman. Our goal is to raise the money needed to help our brother return home to the US from the Island of St. Martin which has been devistated by Hurricane Irma.
My brother, Joshua, has been living and working in St. Martin for the past 2 years. After Irma hit the island earlier this month, we lost all contact with Joshua. We were able to finally get in touch with him last week despite ongoing challenges with power and cell coverage on the island. For the last couple weeks, he has been living with out power, running water and after evaluating his situation has decided to return to the United States to rebuild his life with the support of family.
The challenge is that he has lost everything due to the storm and will be starting completely over once he returns to the United States. Many people have asked how they can support him or help, so we have decided to create this campaign to raise money to cover the basic needs as he begins to rebuild his life.
We have set a goal of $8,000 for the campaign to cover the costs he will face in replacing items lost in the Hurricane such as: clothes, computer for work, and transportation. Also, there are other costs such as food, healthcare, and personal care items.
He was able to communicate to us lastnight that he is going to be able to get on a evacuation flight to Curacao on Thursday, September 21st. From there he will need to purchase a commercial flight to the United States. So after a couple weeks of waiting, we are now trying to spring to action and gather the support needed immediately to bring him home safely and help get him established on firm ground.
