Mi nombre es Laura. Tengo 35 años, y hace cuestión de dos años mi vida dio un giro que nadie esperaba. De la noche a la mañana, comencé a sentir unos síntomas que ningún médico sabía explicar, citas y citas con especialistas que no esclarecían nada de lo que me ocurría. Mi cuerpo y mi capacidad para pensar, moverme, mantener una conversación, trabajar, etc, se vió reducida drásticamente, hasta llegar a quedar postrada en una silla de ruedas, sin poder hacer una vida normal, y con la poca ayuda económica que mis padres de 78 y 73 años pueden darme.
Después de mucho peregrinar, pensamos en la posibilidad de que esta enfermedad pudiera ser un lyme crónico. Es una enfermedad muy incapacitante, que transmite la picadura de una garrapata y transmite unas bacterias que si no son tratadas a tiempo puede imitar muchas enfermedades, entre ellas el parkinson, la esclerosis múltiple, fibromialgia, fatiga crónica, etc... En efecto las pruebas de sangre dieron un amplio positivo en Alemania (los test que se utilizan en la seguridad social tienen alrededor de un 40% de fiabilidad) y asi supe qué es lo que me está comiendo la vida.
Actualmente estoy en casa la mayoría de mi tiempo, me cuesta darme una ducha, andar es algo que no puedo hacer con normalidad y tengo que utilizar una silla de ruedas. No puedo trabajar y me veo incapacitada para poder hacer una vida normal, mis padres están apoyándome económicamente, pero ya no tenemos más fondos para mi tratamiento, que es caro y no cubre la seguridad social. Es un tratamiento que consiste en hierbas antibióticas, sueros de vitaminas intravenosos, etc..para ello tengo que desplazarme a Madrid, y pagar todo de nuestros bolsillos. Estamos en una situación desesperada. Actualmente necesitamos el dinero para poder acudir asiduamente a Madrid y poder seguir con mi tratamiento, de lo contrario me quedaré postrada en esta silla y mi vida seguirá paralizada, viendo como mis padres, con su ya edad avanzada se sienten impotentes a la hora de ayudar.
Por eso te pedimos tu ayuda, para poder volver a andar con normalidad, tener un trabajo y vida cotidianas, salir de este infierno del que no vemos la salida. Es urgente, si puedes ayudarnos, te estaremos muy agradecidos, nuestra situación es insostenible. Gracias, de todo corazón.

I am currently at home most of my time, I find it hard to take a shower, walking is something I can not do normally and I have to use a wheelchair. I can not work and I am unable to live a normal life, my parents are supporting me financially, but we no longer have funds for my treatment, which is expensive and does not cover social security. It is a costly treatment, consisting of antibiotic herbs, intravenous vitamin serums, etc. For this I have to travel to Madrid, and pay everything from our pockets. We are in a desperate situation. Currently I need the money to be able to go regularly go to Madrid and continue with my treatment, otherwise I will stay prostrate in this wheelchair and my life will remain paralyzed seeing how my parents with their advanced age feel helpless when it comes to help.
That's why we ask for your help, to be able to return to normal life, to have a job and daily life, to get out of this hell from which we do not see the way out. It is urgent, if you can help us, we will be very grateful, our situation is untenable. Thanks with all my heart.
