Help with Medical costs

Friendships come in all shapes and sizes. Some are life-long friendships while others wane over time. The friendships we have with Shannon and Cathy McReynolds span decades. We're sure that's true for many of you as well. We've been through a lot together. From the raising of kids and schooling them, to our kids' weddings and grandchildren and even through the death of family members. Needless to say, we've been through a lot with each other. This is one of the hardest experiences we've been through together.
As many of you know, Shannon works in Washington, DC as a contractor for the Dept of Defense. Recently, while visiting Shannon, Cathy suffered a brain aneurysm and has been in ICU since July 15th. Being so far from family and friends and the burden of immense medical expenses starting to pile up, it has been challenging for Shannon, to say the least.
As their friends we feel helpless except to pray (which is really the best thing to be doing). But we've decided on something tangible that can help. We are combining forces to help take at least some of the financial burden off Shannon in this difficult time. Since most of us can't be there for them in person, we want to allow an opportunity to help in a different way.
If you, too, want to help in a tangible way, would you consider a small financial gift in support of Shannon and Cathy? And, most of all, will you join us, as many are already doing, to pray for Cathy's complete and speedy recovery? We serve a God who created the heavens and the earth, rose Jesus from the dead and who created Cathy. He loves her. Surely this is not too hard for Him. We want His will to be done for both Cathy and Shannon. Your support will be such an encouragement to them in this time. And if you know others who care about Shannon and Cathy who may not have heard what's happened, please pass this on so they have an opportunity to support them also.
Thank you for your consideration and your prayers. As their friends, let's unite to bless them.
