Daniel Wilson was my best friend, and was the biggest proponent of both space exploration and science education I've ever known. Daniel passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in December of 2014, devastating us all.
In happier news, Dan will fly into low Earth orbit and get to live out his lifelong dream of going to space in early 2015 as part of Elysium Space, a memorial spaceflight company launching from Cape Canaveral, Florida and Wallops, Virginia.
In his honor, we want to find the next generation of potential astronauts and the best way we know how is to help curious, excited kids make it to Space Camp!
For every $1,000 raised here, we'll be able to send one deserving kid to a full week of Space Camp via their scholarship fund . Every donation will be made in Daniel's name, ensuring a small part of him goes too.
