We need YOUR help!
We need to raise money for our staff to survive the pandemic of COVID 19. We never thought we would have to reach out and ask for help but we now fear if we do not our community will suffer. Yesterday after 22 days of intense quartine we were given the news that the borders will remain shut and any small business, such as our kitesurfing Camp/School, will remain closed for a minimum of 3 months from April the 13th! Leaving us all without work for the near future.
The locals here live day by day on a small wage. Normally enough to provide food and shelter for there families. We do not receive much help from the government and therefore a lot of families will struggle to cover their basic needs.
About us
We are a new business, My partner and I reopened Perukite in June 2018. We immediately hired Memo, our loyal and incredible beach manager who provides for his family of two sons with his salary. which is also heavily relied on bonuses throughout the high season which has now come to a sudden end. Then In April 2019, we created Paracas Kite Camp and partnered with Mosies and his team and invested our savings, now leaving us with little money barely able to get by the next 6 months ourself.
The goal
Our goal is to be able to continue to support our employees and their families in the coming months and hopefully manage to raise enough money to cover the basic needs of living with food, water, rent, gas etc. (any donation received will also be thanked, please see below)
Why?
By donating you will help us and our staff survive during these hard times and keep our community together which is incredibly important to us. During the last two years living here in Peru working with these awesome people, we couldn't imagine walking away without a fight! They are our family now and we need each other. I hope to be able to give them peace of mind by the kindness of our community. We will reopen as a team and see this through together.
