Robert Kennedy is a loving father of three boys - Zach , Donovan and Dylan - and a wonderful husand of over 17 years to Sarah. He has been a sheriff's deputy in Missoula County for 16 years and serves with honor and pride. Robert has only ever wanted to be a police officer since he was very little. He has gone out of his way to help people in his community, and now he is in need of a little help himself.
When Robert was young he was diagnosed with a kidney disease. Robert maintained a stable kidney function for many years. Recently, when receiving treatment for an oral infection, doctors discovered that his kidney function had decreased dramatically. After several months of doctors visits and tests, it was determined that Robert's kidney function was so severe that the only option for him was to have a kidney transplant.
Robert will be going to Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, Washington for treatment. His initial appointment will be to have a work-up done to determine the best match for a donor. After that, if a donor is found, Robert will have the transplant at Virginia Mason Hospital. After the transplant and stay in the hospital, Robert will be required to stay in Seattle for at least one month for continued monitoring.
This, along with the expenses for the donor, will be quite extraordinary. That's why this page exists, to alleviate some of the financial responsibility from Robert and his family.
