Help Mom - Help Dad

On July 14th, my dad walked into the hospital for a scheduled Heart Catheterization.  They decided he was going to need bypass surgery.  On July 16th he had triple bypass surgery.  It was a success; the doctor said his heart was strong and he would be home on Friday (July 18th).  July 18th came, he was still weak, but doing well; until 11am.  We noticed he was unable to move his left side.  He was rushed to CT to verify our suspicions.  He had a stroke.  Saturday, the 19th, he had another stroke.  It has been a very long road, he spent 34 days in ICU and another 20 days in a regular hospital room until being moved to a rehabilitation facility.  Although he is doing better, he is still paralyzed and he has not been able to return home or to work; his bills are piling up.  As if that wasn't enough, my mom was told this week that my dad's insurance wants to send him home next week.  Most would consider that great news until you hear that he needs 24 hour supervision in the home.  An adult babysitter, so to say.  These sitters don't come cheap and when the bills are already behind finding money for that seems impossible.  I'm reaching out for your help.  My dad always made sure my mom would be taken care of in the event he had passed away; no one ever forsaw him being disabled and not working.  My parents worked a lot of years to build a strong family and a home - they are no longer in their prime and now need help.  Before this, my dad was an avid Cast Iron & Dutch Oven cook.  He spent every minute he could watching his grandson play baseball.  He has 3 rescue pets (2 dogs and a cat).  He has always looked out for everyone else before himself.  It's time we put him 1st. I'm a single mom and just can't help alone.
