Katie's Breast Cancer Fund

2017 was a big year for Katie and Cory as they purchased their first home together for them and their dog Rico and got married in October.


Less than 6 months after getting married Katie found a lump in her breast and went to the doctor to get it checked out. She was told it was only a cyst and to not worry too much about it. A couple weeks go by and the pain from the lump in her breast had gotten worse and she went back to the doctor and had 3 biopsies done. On March 5, 2018, Katie was diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 24. After receiving this news, Katie and Cory’s lives have changed completely. Katie will be starting chemotherapy, will go through surgeries, and will need other medicines that are very costly. All while trying to juggle going to work, finishing her degree at the University of Central Oklahoma, and trying to live a somewhat normal life with her husband and dog. Due to the doctors appointments, chemo treatments every 3 weeks, and upcoming surgery in June, they both will be missing work and income. It will be an emotional struggle as well as financial.
