Hello!
I am an aspiring first time business owner.
My business partners and I have been friends since childhood and we all grew up together in a rough neighborhood of South Apopka, FL. Crime and poverty filled our neighborhood and the sound of gunshots were as common as birds chirping in the air. Fortunately, we were blessed to overcome our circumstances and avoid the many negative life paths and traps that surrounded us. Our hard work and perseverance to remain on the right track regardless of what we saw or experienced is living proof that where you come from does not have to determine where you end up. Because of this philosophy, we’re looking to provide a wholesome alternative source of entertainment for people of all ages that will have a positive impact and give back to our community. To achieve this, our goal is to open an Escape Room which will also create jobs and add to Orlando’s entertainment and tourism industries.
The object of an escape room is fairly simple and extremely exciting. A team of players are placed within a room for 60 minutes where they have to find clues and solve various puzzles to find their way out of the room before the time is up.
Not only are escape rooms a positive form of entertainment for children and adults, but they also serve as a wonderful team building opportunity. The nature of the game forces players to understand the importance of teamwork, communication, and unity which in turn helps build confidence in themselves and others. These are extremely important skills that can carry over into the players’ personal lives and stick with them long after the game has ended.
Escape rooms are quickly growing in popularity around the world and we want to bring another opportunity here to our community. Everything is in place and ready for the process to begin as our business plans have been finalized and our location has been established. However, the last barrier standing in our way is the need to procure additional capital to complete this project.
The total goal amount that still needs to be raised is $10,000. Obviously, we’re not looking to have any one person contribute that amount at once but any contribution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time and consideration in helping to make our dream a reality!
