Essentials for my parents

Donation protected
If some of you may not know me, my name is Paloma. Born and raise in San Juan, Puerto Rico and I really don't know what to do since I'm miles away from my parents living in the state of Connecticut and as much as I was stopping myself from doing this, since we´ve been always a family that's down to work hard and get the things that we need somehow...well today or tonight I'm just so tired of crying, so tired of feeling helpless and this is me surrendering and asking for help. Since the time that hurricane Maria had passed, my connection with my parents had been rough and the little times that I got to connect they were always sounding like they were ok and they got this. Little did I know that they really were asking for help. Our house got flooded inmensively and after a week that water seemed to stay...damaging everything that this water was touching. Fridge, bed, furniture, stove tops, etc.

As as some of you guys know my parents, they are the most warm welcoming and positive people that you will always encounter. My mom, 67 always ready to serve a warm meal to anyone that walks through our doors and my dad  being in his 78 always making jokes and sharing stories of his young life  .  They always been such caring people and now on their golden retired age, they had been serving their time in fostering neglected animals and giving them a chance to have a safe home and be loved. This morning had been one of the first times that I've heard my dad so tired and thin, and my mom so out of light. While I'm typing this with my eyes tearing down I ask for anything, anything that I could reach so we can give them some joy so they can get their necessary things to get back to their feet, such as a fridge, their bed, my sisters bed, organize their bathroom, fix their car and probably some beds for the foster animals. I will be in responsibility for this account and once this is completed I'll be sending this money to their account and if there's any money extra left after these essentials being covered, we will be donating it straight to the Chilis on wheels organization, in which they are serving warm meals to other people in Puerto Rico  that are going through this dark struggle as well.

Anything will be inmensively appreciated. Thank you for all the love and kindness that everyone has extended to me and my family and thank you for taking your time in reading this.
