Hi, my name is BrookeMonae Westbrook, and I’m currently a journalism student at Hampton University. As the new semester approaches, I am facing unexpected housing challenges that may prevent me from returning to campus. My housing deposit was submitted on time and when I entered the portal there was nothing to select. I just found out today that I have been placed on the waiting list and will only get campus housing if someone withdraws , which means there is no guarantee that I’ll have a place to stay once classes begin.

My family was not prepared for this but, I’m passionate about continuing my education and staying on track toward my goals of becoming an entertainment or sports attorney. Alongside my academic pursuits, I am also deeply committed to community service and giving back to others whenever I can, but without stable housing, this dream is at risk. I’m asking for your support to help me raise funds for off-campus housing, so I can remain close to school and continue my studies without interruption.
