Hi, Anni here! I was laid off in May of this year from a salaried job role that I expected to be long term. With the current job market, finding a new job has been a mission. I’ve been through multiple interview processes some lasting a month with excessive assessments, moving to next steps and no job offer at the end. I’m extremely lucky and blessed to say I have been hired. My start date is August 11th! However, before then, I am requesting rental assistance for the months of July/August. I’ve exhausted my personal savings on May/June rent along with utility bills after spending over $4000 (first, last, deposit) to move into my new apartment and FL re-employment has been of no help. I would be really grateful for any help you can provide to ensure I can securely start this new position without fear of being displaced along with my cat Jalinder. Currently, I am communication with my landlord to delay any eviction processes. Even meeting half of my goal would be greatly beneficial. I am happy to provide receipts if I meet my goal to be transparent and ensure donated funds are being used towards my rent. Thank you!

After countless interviews (almost one per day), I’ve finally secured a stable full-time job, but I won’t receive my first paycheck in time to cover what I owe my landlord. I’ve now been given a three-day notice for eviction, and I’m doing everything I can to stay afloat. It is extremely hard to work towards income and feeling mentally healthy again while being burdened by housing instability. Any contribution helps and I’m extremely grateful!
