Enough is Enough! Support Wheels for Mikki

Enough is Enough! Let’s help those in need as almost everyone at some point in their lives needs a springboard of hope.  This rings so true especially now during these economic hard times for family and friends or for anyone that has endured lifelong economic hardship.

My choice for the first person to “Go Fund” is Mikhael Rafael Pearsons, Mikki, from Springfield, Vermont.  He is my second cousin by way of my foster family which helped to raise me from childhood in Vermont.  He is also the only son of one of my best friends and cousin, Robin McGruder, of White River Junction, Vermont.   I would not have had the opportunity to be as successful as I am today were it not for my foster parents that took me into their home when I was just 5 years old.  It was all about true unconditional love and sacrifice without the sin of being judgmental or unforgiving.

That being said, none of us are perfect and it is time to push on with some well needed assistance.

Mikki is a 41- year old man that has time again tried to better his life in order to move up and out of economic hardship.  He has had many jobs over the years from fast food clerk to Restaurant Prep, Warehouse, General Labor, Hotel Services and Landscaping.  He has a disability that has taken a while to both diagnose and manage for which has been the cause of many of his set-backs throughout life.  It is easy to judge those with diagnosed disabilities because their behavior seems out of the normal standard when they are around us. Consequently, Mikki has a huge heart and always wants to help others in need even though he hasn’t much to offer in the way of financial resources.

Time again, he has moved homeless friends into his home, helped to feed those that are hungry with his food assistance and also took care of other friends’ disabled children so that they could get things done or go to work.  He has a kind heart with the boldness to protect his own when needed.  Mikki walked four miles a day from his apartment and back just to catch a bus in the early cold hours of the Vermont winter months in order to prove that he was willing and able to work.  He did that for several months! He also slept on hard floors or at friend’s home’s for many odd days in order to be reliable for work.  Who do you know that would do this!

As it stands, he can’t move up the economic ladder without a car.  He can’t get to work so that he can get off of state assistance, can’t afford to eat at times and seems at every turn he faces an up-hill battle in order to earn his independence.  Enough is Enough! Let’s get Mikki on his way to independence again by giving him the mobility he needs and a bit of a springboard to get him to think positive and that life is worth living again.  We know that Mikki has been given a few chances to prove himself in the past and has come up short, however, with each passing year he has matured with the appropriate professional therapy.

I am seeking to raise a minimum of $7,000.00 for the purchase of a car for his transportation, license and registration with an additional amount to cover the expenses associated with his commuting to work for at least one year.   if he is not able to drive, the funds will be used for his transportation to and from work.  The scriptures call for unconditional love and to do for others what you would want others to do unto you.  Your contribution will be so very appreciated and I know this will also change Mikki’s life.  Thanks for your help and may God Bless you in your own personal endeavors.

My Best with much Love,

Uncle, Ozzie
