Haiti Back To School

Please help us raise money to send 15 children back to school for the academic year 2014 - 2015 in Haiti.

In Haiti, the school year begins in October, and lots of parents are struggling to find a way to send their kids back to school, as there is not enough public schools for everybody, and small private schools are fairly expensive for a country making a minimum wage of two dollars a day. Parents who can't send their kids to public schools because of lack of available spots, or can't afford private schools because they are too expensive, are forced to keep their kids at home, hence the kids are growing without the ability to read and write, which sadly increase the illeteracy rate of the youth in this small country.

That's why we are seeking your help to raise at least $5,000, with 100% of it will go to help 15 parents in Haiti, by paying half or the full tuition for the students, including providing books, uniforms and school materials.

Your generous donation will grant at least a kid the right to learn, to be educated, to be part of this modern society and acquire great skills to become a good citizen who will help the country progress and succeed. And we are grateful for your donation.

We have already been in contact with four schools that will provide us with a list of children who may need some assistance for the academic year.  The amount that you will donate will help pay for half of the full tuition for some students. Some other students will receive books and school materials. And some others will be providing with brand new uniforms for the school year.

Your donation will bring relief to a lot of parents and open the door of knowledge to a lot of young minds.

You can give any amount that fits your budget and we won't be able to thank you enough for your generosity.

- A donation of $25 will help purchase some school materials for some students.

- A donation of $50 will help pay for new books and school materials.

- A donation of $100 will help provide new uniforms and books for students.

- A donation of $250 will help pay for half of year's tuition for a student.

- A donation of $500 will help pay for the full tuition for a student.

About Us

Haitian Kids of Tomorrow is a non profit organisation founded by Mardochee Macxis and Pierre Rumenigay Chery. We've been best friends since first grade and together we finished high school at Petit Seminaire College St Martial, a school in which we spent thirteen years studying and learning the value of education and helping others.

Haitian Kids of Tomorrow is currently waiting for its 501(c)(3) status. This is why we thank you for your donation. Making a donation now will ensure a succesful start up, and a long term emotional investment in the life of our program, and the beauty of our mission, which is to help haitian kids learn how to read and write, be part of this modern world and make the country better.

Our first campaign is to raise at least $5,000 that will allow kids to attend school for the academic year 2014 - 2015. Provide them books, school materials and uniform.
