Please help Princess

Hello Friends and family, I first want to start by saying that we appreciate the opportunity through social media to be able to do this, second we would never have thought to ask for help if it wasn't needed, we are asking for donations to help Princess who was hit by a car yesterday morning 10Oct2017 at about 0500.
Princess had gotten out of our fenced in yard by mistake, she then ran away and made her way to route 73, that's when a car going about 40mph struck her. The driver of that vehicle pulled ahead of her called the police and left shortly after they got there, leaving my poor Princess in tremendous pain and scared to death. While we were still searching for her around our neighborhood I received a call from a number I didn't recognize, I called it back about 5 minutes later and all I heard was my poor girl crying in the back round, my heart sunk, the feeling was awful. I drove to get her and so did my husband, all the while a kind neighbor of ours sat with Jack so we could go to her. Luckily the women who called me stayed with Princess along with two Police Officers. The good samaritan , Staci, pulled over and blocked traffic for Princess to prevent further injury and stayed with her until we arrived. When we got there she wasn't moving at all, my heart broke for her, one of my babies was and is severely injured.
We took her to NorthStar Vet, they immediately put her on fluids, pain meds, took exrays and did blood test. The exrays showed 2 broken ribs, a fractured tail, air in-between her heart and chest cavity which is from a collapsed lung, internal belly bleeding and a nerve was dislodged which controls her bowels, so she is now incontinent. They said yesterday afternoon when I went to see her that she may now also have a spinal fracture and the chances of her being able to use her back legs are not good. They are doing a CT scan and MRI today to check on any other injuries that may have occurred.
What we are looking at as a family is a ridiculous amount of money for vet bills now and in the future, we are looking at a possible surgery and then care for her after, a cart with wheels so she can get around, medication, therapy and diapers/pads. We had to move her to another location which is a 30-45 minute drive from us. Along with the cost it's going to be a long recovery for her and lots and lots of work for us.
Every donation will help, today is her second day hospitalized and we are up to about $4500, this amount will pay for the next 2 days as well. We will also donate anything left over to the SPCA. We understand that everyone has their own problems and issues going on, so please do what you can❤️
