End Patch's Tooth Pain!

Patch Avery is a papa and a poet, a volunteer and an organizer, a friend and an advocate. If you already know him well, you know he'll give whatever he can to those who need it...a spot to crash in his home, the last dollar in his wallet, whatever food's in his cupboards, his time and skills to make your show, party, event, what-have-you a success...and more. He's given hours upon hours of his time to organizations, too, among them Seattle AIDS Support Group, Bent Arts, Camp Ten Trees, and Lambert House. The list goes on.
If you don't already know Patch well enough to have seen his generosity firsthand, you're probably reading this page because you know somebody who's been helped by Patch, impacted by his poetry or spoken word work, or otherwise had the opportunity to be thankful for his presence in their community.
We hope you'll join us in giving a little bit of that love and generosity back to Patch in the form of a monetary donation, something he really needs right now.
Patch is experiencing some MAJOR dental problems, including an exposed nerve in his mouth. His pain is so severe that he spends most nights sitting up on the couch (only half-sleeping) because his pain is too great to sleep when he lies down. He has visited his family's dentist who has let him know what work needs to be done. The work will cost upwards of seven thousand dollars. Patch's dental care is not covered by insurance, so any work that's done will need to be paid with cash. There's no "extra" cash floating around Patch's life right now. He and his wife Jolene brilliantly manage a tight budget to keep their awesome family of five people housed, fed, and happy together. When unanticipated expenses arise, they plan and save and wait to deal with things as soon as it's possible.
This time around, however, waiting is not a viable option. We are very concerned for Patch's health and well being and so are reaching out to his/our communities to ask for your support of our friend. Please donate any amount that works for you. Together, we can give Patch the financial support he needs to get the dental work he must have to end his tooth pain and get back all the wonderful business of life!
