#EndoStrong for Jill

Donation protected

Hello friends!

Many of you have been on the receiving end of the Vosbergs’ generosity, whether through one of their many Love Flash Mobs or just their everyday care. Now we have the opportunity to turn it around and support Jill and Heath (and their kids) as they take a major step in trying to rid Jill of the tremendous pain she is experiencing from endometriosis.

Jill will be traveling to Atlanta in November to have surgery to remove the endometriosis from her diaphragm area. The hospital is one of only two in the entire country that specialize in the care Jill needs. Unfortunately, it is an out of network hospital and an average surgery of this kind can cost between $75,000-100,000.  They have been working with insurance and it sounds like 75% of it will be covered.  The primary surgeon is not a part of their out of network benefits, and therefore they will receive a self-pay bill for his portion.  Based on their projections of the self-pay bill and other expenses, their costs will total around $20k-30k out of pocket. They have been working hard to put away money, including working additional jobs on top of their full time work. We’d love to double what they have saved to help alleviate the financial stress during Jill’s recovery.

Will you join us in helping the Vosbergs? In true “Love Flash Mob” fashion, we believe that many people giving a small amount is just as powerful as one big donor. So whether you have $5 or $1000, you can make a difference and help our dear friends! Small things with great love is our mantra and we invite you to be part of that with us!

Some background:
Jill has suffered from chronic pain due to endometriosis since she was 16. In true Jill fashion, she has researched and sought out the advice of experts around the country, as well as others who have dealt with a case similar to hers. Over the last several years Jill has had surgery in the Twin Cities area to remove the disease from her body, including her uterus, ovary, cervix (2016) as well as her abdomen and colon (2017).  In those cases, the doctors would report that her endometriosis is some of the worst they have seen because of the extent it is found in her body. Jill was so disappointed to determine in 2018 that the new pain she was experiencing in her neck and back area was due to her endometriosis disease moving to her diaphragm (thoracic endometriosis), which poses a real concern for what other vital organs the disease might move to. After spending most of the year evaluating her options, Jill has determined that the best care she can receive with the best chance of avoiding recurrence is at the Center for Endometriosis Care (CEC) in Atlanta. This major surgery is scheduled for November 2018.

Thank you for joining us in supporting the Vosbergs!
