Endometriosis Emergency Fund

I have Endometriosis, and Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome. Endo is a chronic illness with absolutely no cure. Its where cells similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterus and around other organs. It creates cysts and adhesions all through the pelvic region. It's extremely, debilitatingly painful, and its one of the toughest mental challenges I've ever faced. I'm hospitalised nearly once a month, and I've had to have 3 surgeries in the last 3 years to try allow me to live as normal a life as possible. Proper treatment for Endo in Australia often has to be done through private clinics, and it costs A LOT of money. I'm also only employed under a casual basis at work, so when I'm too sick to go to work from the Endo, I don't get paid, then I struggle to pay my bills. I need to have injections into my pelvic muscles, which has to be done through a private hospital, and is a procedure that medicare won't give rebates for. For more information about this procedure, look here: https://www.pelvicpain.org.au/botox-for-pelvic-pain-campaign/ --------------------------------------------------- Heres a small breakdown of costs of living with Endo: 1: Specialist appointment for diagnosis and check ups - $320 for 30 mins. 2: Pelvic pain physiotherapy - $194 for 30 mins (recommend to do 2 sessions per week minimum) 3: Laparoscopic surgery to remove Endo - $3000 - $5000 out of pocket (have had 1 a year the last 3 years) 4: Botox injections - $1200 (recommend to have 2 injections at a time every 6-8 months) 5: Mirena to slow the Endo growth - $200 6: Emergency admission to hospital - $200-$350 per trip (depending on the hospital you go to) 7: Pain medications, and suppliments for the weakened immune system - nearly $100 a month 8: Psychiatric help to learn to deal with chronic pain - $200-$400 per 45 min session.
