<div>Shortly after our wedding, our journey to parenthood took an unexpected turn.

<div>As we began trying to grow our family, Maurita was diagnosed with PCOS — a common cause of infertility. While navigating that challenge, we took a leap of faith and began fertility testing. That testing uncovered something we never expected: endometrial cancer — a diagnosis that is extremely rare for women Maurita’s age.

<div>It was heartbreaking and frightening. But we believe it was also God’s mercy — because had we not been pursuing fertility treatment, the cancer may have gone undetected for far too long.

<div>Today, Maurita is undergoing hormonal therapy to manage the cancer. Praise God, this treatment not only slows its growth but also provides a small, time-sensitive window in which we can attempt IVF and try to conceive. This is our one and only chance to pursue pregnancy before more aggressive treatment is required.

<div>We’re trusting God in the middle of the unknown. Through every appointment, every diagnosis, and every delay, we’ve clung to the promise that He is still good and that our story is not over.

En affrontant ce défi, nous avons fait un pas de foi et avons commencé une série d’examens de fertilité. Ces examens ont révélé quelque chose d’inattendu : un cancer de l’endomètre — un diagnostic extrêmement rare pour les femmes du jeune âge de Maurita.

<div>Ce fut un choc, rempli de peur et de tristesse. Mais nous croyons que c’était aussi une marque de la miséricorde de Dieu — car si nous n’avions pas poursuivi un traitement de fertilité, le cancer aurait pu passer inaperçu pendant bien trop longtemps.

<div>Aujourd’hui, Maurita suit une thérapie hormonale pour gérer le cancer. Gloire à Dieu, ce traitement non seulement ralentit la progression du cancer, mais nous offre aussi une petite fenêtre, limitée dans le temps, pour tenter une FIV et essayer de concevoir. C’est notre unique chance de tenter une grossesse avant de devoir recourir à un traitement plus agressif.

<div>Nous faisons confiance à Dieu au milieu de l’incertitude. À travers chaque rendez-vous, chaque diagnostic et chaque attente, nous nous accrochons à la promesse que Dieu est toujours bon et que notre histoire n’est pas terminée.
