Hey y’all, I am in my senior year at Arizona State University as a Community Advocacy and Social Policy major. In being an online student and not benefiting from required internships that in person majors achieve, I looked into opportunities for myself to receive real experience before my departure from the collegiate realm. Luckily, I found a program that holds my heart and soul within the work I hope to do after I graduate.

This program is a Global Intensive Experience where I will be an intern at the Stanislaus Family Justice Center during the Fall 2019 semester and a two weeks study abroad internship to Ghana, Africa where I will be working with the Challenging Heights organization at the beginning of January 2020. The Challenging Heights organization works towards rescuing and rehabilitating women and children who have been human trafficked surrounding the Winneba area of Ghana.
I am grateful that I will be able to have this experience before I graduate and be able to work with the incredible people at Challenging Heights and witness the accomplishments that they achieve daily.
Financial Support Is Needed & Greatly Appreciated
By supporting me, you will help me finance the program fees ($1955), my tuition for the required course ($1610), my flight and travel insurance ($1425), travel visa ($60), yellow fever vaccination and malaria pills ($350), and travel budget ($300-$500).
If you do not want to support me, that’s absolutely okay! You can directly support Challenging Heights through their website. I will also be taking two suitcases filled with donated clothes and shoes. Please contact me if you have any clothing or shoes that you would like for me to take with me for the Ghanaian children and women.
