David and Charlotte Putnam are the owners of Alamo City Gold &amp; Silver Exchange, a full service jewelry store in San Antonio, Texas.  David is a retired San Antonio Police Detective. For over 30 years, he has created and donated approximately 3500 sterling silver badge pendants to families of fallen first responders.  The badge pendant is a replica of the fallen first responder’s badge with his/her name, rank,  badge number and end of watch date or last bell date.
