End hunger in Eswatini, Africa

Hi everyone, my name is Waheedah and after joining my husband in Eswatini, Southern Africa, 12 years ago, we saw a desperate need to help equip and empower young people in Eswatini. There is a saying that says, “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”

 

That is why we started the Emerge Center in 2020. Emerge is a training center aimed at teaching young Africans life skills while providing ongoing counselling, mentorship and other helpful services.

 

All our students come from poverty stricken areas and it is our sincere hope to not only provide meals for our students while in the program but ultimately empower them to make a difference in their communities. Our motto is LEARN, APPLY and TEACH OTHERS. Our goal is to end hunger one person at a time by breaking poverty mindsets and focusing on students holistically. 

 

The funds raised in this campaign will go directly towards the launch and overall cost to run the program for 2 whole years!
