Home destroyed by tree - newborn twins!
Donation protected
Rochelle and Chris Stevens just welcomed newborn baby twins home from the NICU about a month ago after they were born prematurely in late June. A few nights ago, a giant pine tree crashed down and through their home, obliterating a large portion of the house and forcing them to scramble to find a place to live for the next several months as repairs are made and their home is rebuilt.
Thank GOODNESS, their five year-old Oliver had gotten up and crawled into bed with them in the middle of the night, as his bedroom was completely destroyed.
Obviously their lives have been turned completely upside-down at a time that was already difficult with four kids under the age of nine, including nursing newborn twin boys. Chris and Rochelle are currently scrambling to find a rental to get the family moved into, and please reach out if you know of a place. In the meantime, there will be plenty of costs incurred by this disaster that will not covered by insurance. Anything you can do to help this family as they navigate this new challenge (on top of parenting two preemie newborns, plus a five and eight year-old!) will be a huge help.
