NEW SCHOOL for DISABLED OF KHAGENDRA, NEPAL

In 2009, 322 disabled children of KHAGENDRA NEW LIFE VOCATIONAL SCHOOL in Kathmandu, Nepal already needed a new school. The classrooms were damp, live electrical cables hung loosely from the ceiling, concrete walls were cracked and the size of the rooms were far too small for their increasing numbers. Then the Earthquakes of 2015 came and in the most macabre sort of way did the school a favour. They destroyed the existing structures meaning there was no longer a choice … a new school had to be built !!  Collaborating with other prominent organisations and with the help of many special Aussie friends, over $ 300,000 AUD has been raised to complete the first two stages of three. As the photos demonstrate … The school is on its way !

STAGE 3 NEEDS YOUR HELP !
Offering 6 more classrooms and an upper floor for staff facilities, 'Stage 3' is hamstrung by lack of support. We need your assistance again. All that is required now is $90,000 AUD to complete Stage Three to give these 322 disabled children a precious new school. We are visiting Khagendra in September and we would love to offer a further $20,000 donation to their building fund on your behalf. This is a 6 month campaign to raise that amount. If you want to feel the value of your contribution, then have a look for yourself at these beautiful children whose Bhuddist-driven pride in their community and thirst for learning will warm your hearts. Thank you so much for your generous heart and empathy.

Our appreciation to you ... Bernie Kelly and the Global Immersion Family.
