My name is Ceely and I was born on November 27, 2013. Earlier that day my mom was dropped off at a kill shelter, I guess the owners didn't want us. Since it was the day before Thanksgiving all the volunteers had gone home early leaving my mom all alone and scared. That night she went in to labor and delivered me and my 4 brothers and sisters. Without help from anyone she kept us warm and safe until morning. Word went out immediately announcing our arrival. I guess because we were so cute a nice lady volunteered to be our Foster mom and took us under her wing. One by one my siblings were being adopted, I kept wondering why not me, you see I was what they called the runt. I guess patience is really a virtue as my day finally arrived! A nice single lady came in and said Ceely is mine. I was so excited that I wanted to jump up and down, but my legs wouldn't let me. No one could have known at the time but I was developing what they call Legg Calve Perthes in both my back legs. Long story short my new mom is the best! She is taking really good care of me, I have now had surgery on both legs and am now starting physical therapy. As you can imagine taking care of me came with a steep price, $2900.00 per leg and now therapy. My mom is really proud and would never ask for help, luckily I have a great Uncle that is trying to help her. Thank you in advance. I am doing my best to get better fast. Ceely xoxo
