On November 14, 2019 Angel Lopez a ninth grade student was struck by a car while riding his bicycle. He was in a coma for several days, but thankfully, he woke up and is still currently  hospitalized. He has a long way to go before he recovers. Angel has been very brave enduring surgeries and treatments that are helping him heal everyday. Doctors say that he is truly a miracle and that his prognosis for recovery is very good.  Angel is an immigrant from Guatemala who came to the U.S. with his father seeking opportunities to help their family's  dire financial situation back in their country. His father is his only source of emotional and financial support at this moment.  Due to their economic situation Angel's mother and  five siblings had to remain in Guatemala. His father works all day, sleeps at the hospital then returns back to work in the morning. He has had to miss many days of work to be with his son and this has caused even more stress for the family. Angel and his father will need financial support to help cover lost wages, transportation fees, and providing support for his family back in Guatemala  for a couple of months while Angel recovers. Please help Angel and his family during this difficult time.
