My Name is Cesar Garcia and anyone who knows me knows my love for sharing my knowledge of baseball and that I’m from Nicaragua. I spent my early childhood years in Nicaragua. Although all the kids in our neighborhood loved sports, we didn’t have access or the resources to purchase sports equipment, which helped us grow our creativity. My mother would sew a rock in a tightly rolled sock, which became our ball, infielders would use cardboard with shoe strings as gloves and outfielders would use hats as gloves. I remember getting my first used “New” glove, I was in fourth grade and it was a Rawlings glove that probably had been used for 20 years. However, that “Broken In” glove was new to me and brought years joy and excitement to me. My Goal is to bring that same level of joy and excitement to as many kids as we can through generous donations.
