Empower DC Youth Through Chess : DC Ward 8 Think B4U Move!
Tax deductible
We are on a mission to raise $5,000 to distribute over 150 regulation tournament chess sets to DC Schools in Ward 8 and to youth residing in these communities. Through the Big Chair Chess Club, a nonprofit founded in 1998, we have been using chess as a powerful tool to inspire mental toughness, problem-solving skills, and engineering creativity.
Our mission is simple: to teach life strategies and foster critical thinking by promoting the philosophy of “Think B4U Move” both on and off the chessboard. This initiative goes beyond physical sports—it's about equipping underserved youth with resources that foster cognitive strength, academic improvement, and lifelong decision-making skills.
Your contribution will help us empower the next generation of thinkers, leaders, and innovators in DC’s underserved communities. With your support, these chess sets will provide life-changing opportunities and inspire a brighter future.
