<div>Newly arriving Black LGBTQI+ immigrants are facing overwhelming challenges as they seek refuge and safety in the United States. Many are unable to access critical legal services because they lack legal authorization to work. Even those who manage to find work often face prohibitively expensive legal fees. Pro bono services are scarce, leaving too many without the support they need to file for asylum. As a result, many miss their crucial one-year filing deadline, largely due to indirect discrimination based on their color and nationality.

<div>At the Lighthouse Equality Advocacy Project, we're stepping up to ensure that these vulnerable individuals are not left behind. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to provide as much pro se support as possible. Just $100 can make a significant difference, covering the cost of pro se filing, a metro card, and a hot meal.
