Help Tanzanian Women: Stop Female Circumcision.
Donation protected
Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), known as female circumcision, is a severe issue that is still deeply affecting many girls and women in several regions around the world.
It is done for non-medical reasons, based on social, cultural and religious beliefs about women's purity and marriageability. Most FGMs happen between infancy and 15 years old, and is a huge violation of the human right of girls and women.
Advocates for Humanity (non-profit org) is directly supporting this cause of FGM Relief in the Maasai community in Tanzania, where they are in direct contact with a local group led by Leah (photos), who has come together to educate the larger community, and to build a refuge where girls and women can escape the forced circumcisions, and have a choice over their own bodies and life. The eco-village that Advocates for Humanity are supporting building, will provide a self-sufficient, safe community for these girls and women, with access to medical support and education. It has been in the making for years by this local group, and Advocates for Humanity are now putting in large efforts to make this eco-village happen and to provide safety for the affected girls and women, to avoid the forced marriages and to stop forced Female Genital Mutilation!
You can make a significant impact with your contribution, small or large, to make a significant change in these girls and women's life, today!
Thank you for your support in changing lives from these horrible violations!
Please remember to SHARE this fundraiser with your network and on social media, -together we make a ripple effect and much bigger impact!
