I'm Isaac, and I need your help to push my artistic career to a new sustainable level! Throughout my life, art has been a comforting constant, a way for me to process my emotions, whether I was aware of it or not. As I continue to understand what art means to me and share with others, I am so excited to begin this new journey in life, but change, while wonderful, exciting, and necessary, is also terrifying. Financial stability is unfortunately a luxury, especially for creatives. Sharing this with friends and family is the best way to help support me.

I have been working for years to become a full-time artist. I now have enough know-how and support from my amazing fans, friends, and family to feel comfortable doing exactly that. I have been working at Ames Silversmithing for 10 years, building my skills as a bench jeweler. I create, repair, and design jewelry. As rewarding as that is, I have a desire to create so much more. I intend to continue to create jewelry, but I would like my main focus to be on my drawings.
The basics of this crowdfunding project are to get enough funds to pay my bills for a few months, get a few tools and equipment to push my career forward, and pay application fees. My monthly needs are fairly low, but, as everyone, not zero. Not knowing where my money is going to come from is a very scary thing, and I'm working on being okay with that. When applying to galleries, competitions, group shows, exhibitions, fellowships, or residencies, they all have application fees. All of them are non-refundable, and paying them doesn't guarantee acceptance into the event either. Knowing that I have the ability to pay for these for a short period of time would be ideal. Not to mention that paper, pens, and ink are expensive! Lastly there is some new equipment that I would like to obtain, to level up the quality of my videos and content. For example, a camera that can record in higher resolution would make it easier for the viewer to see the drawing in action and understand what I’m teaching.
I am a traditional artist using pen and paper to create abstract line art. My artwork is therapeutic for myself, and I would love to share that experience with my audience. I have so many ideas for tutorials, full video processes, answering questions, and other content that I could express my creativity through! Having the time to be able to create that will be priceless.
