No matter where we come from or what paths we walk in life, there’s something we all share: a belief that every child deserves a fair chance to learn, grow, and dream.
For many children in Côte d’Ivoire, that chance is still out of reach. Imagine wanting to go to school—but being turned away because your family cannot afford basic supplies. Or because you don’t have a birth certificate, which often means, officially, “you don’t exist.” For thousands of children, this isn’t hypothetical—it’s their daily reality. And yet, because of people like you, that story is beginning to change.
Over the past two years, the generosity of donors has made a real impact. In 2024, 16 donors helped raise $1,554. In 2025, 21 donors came together to raise $2,800—supporting children in rural communities with school supplies, meals, and renewed hope. Each contribution, no matter the size, helped open the door to education for children who might otherwise be left behind.
This year, we are building on that momentum with a renewed goal: to support over 200 children as they prepare for the upcoming school year. Together with our local partners, we are focusing on three life-changing efforts:
1. Providing Birth Certificates – Creating Identity and Access: Many children in rural Côte d’Ivoire are unable to attend school simply because they lack official documentation. Without a birth certificate, they are excluded from the education system and become more vulnerable to exploitation. Your support helps cover administrative fees and facilitates the process of registering these children—giving them legal identity, protection, and the fundamental right to education.
2. Supplying Essential School Materials – Equipping for Success: A backpack, notebooks, pencils—these are small things that make a big difference. For families facing poverty, these basic items are out of reach. Donations will go directly toward purchasing and distributing quality school supplies so that children can start the year prepared, confident, and ready to learn alongside their peers.
3. Supporting Scholarships – Keeping Children in School: Even when children enroll, many struggle to stay in school due to fees, uniforms, or financial pressures at home. We are expanding scholarship support to assist the most vulnerable students—especially girls and those at risk of dropping out—ensuring they can continue their education without interruption.
Education is more than learning—it is protection, empowerment, and hope. In regions where child labor remains a serious issue, access to school can mean the difference between exploitation and opportunity, between survival and possibility.
