Hellerg! I'm Auzzie, a multimedia artist, lover of nature, neurodivergent, gremlin obsessed with process and learning. I have just gotten the incredible news that I've been accepted into the Sacred Vibes Apothecary Apprenticeship program and I am requesting the help of my community to help me cover the cost of attending this learning to further my education and certification in Herbalism.

I believe in equal access to medicine and breaking apart how we think about it. I believe medicine is more sacred and personal than we portray it as. This is not to say I don’t believe in doctors either. I will go when needed, however, (1) I know firsthand how Black and Brown people receive inadequate care and are ignored when it comes to the medical system and (2) I believe the need can become less frequent when knowledge of herbal medicine is present. Part of my learning about the medical and spiritual benefits of herbs is reclamation, another part being safety. These traditional practices were ritual to our ancestors long before colonization came around and they still hold powerful truths that benefit us. Our great-great-great-great-great grandparents' hands touched the same soil we touch to grow the same plants. There is rich and beautiful healing there. I believe it should be accessible to everyone.

In my efforts to decenter profit/quick fixes, I am committed to being a lifelong student of the Earth to center community, spirit, and love-led herbalist medical practices and ask your help in starting the beginning of my journey. The first part of the program is a year long. During this time, I will be learning the basics of herbalism (materia medica, plant identification, body systems, etc.) and creating safe, healthy habits of the practice.

The total cost of the program is $7100, with $1000 deposit being due by the end of the week. Thankfully, there is a 9-month payment plan available, but it is comparable to the cost of my rent each month and I will struggle to keep up without support.

Donations received by August 22, 2025 will be used towards the $1000 deposit. Donations received after that date will be used towards the $673 monthly cost and materials for the program.
